What to expect:

We will start our playgroup sessions outside in the shady gated playground where children can move freely between sensory trays, water play and various gross motor activities.

After 30 minutes outside, we will move inside for a snack and story time, leaving plenty of time to engage in the 10 + indoor activities set up.

All sensory play is non-toxic, taste safe and allergen friendly.

You can always expect arts & crafts, play dough, pretend play, building materials, fine motor activities, reading corner, and more.

There is no better way to end a session than with a bit of music and movement. 🎶

Don't worry—there are no boring toy cupboards at this playgroup 😉. Activities are centred around a theme and will be rotated weekly to keep things fresh for you and your little one.

  • Edzocate runs during the QLD school terms. All terms are typically 10 weeks in length.

  • The Edzocate Educational Playgroup is open to children aged 0-5 years who haven't started school. While there is something for everyone at playgroup, children who are crawling and pulling to stand would benefit most from mixed-aged playgroup as they can move around freely and access activities at tables.

  • Families who value their child’s learning and development and want to socialise with like minded families.

    Parents and carers looking for a fun, gently structured weekly activity that their little one will enjoy (and so will you).

    Parent’s & carers whose children don’t attend childcare (or not yet) and are looking to prepare their children for a structured environment.

    Families of children' with allergies. We take safety very seriously at Edzocate and provide an allergy aware environment.

  • We see mums, dads, aupairs, nannies, grandparents, aunts and uncles walk through the playgroup gates every week. With many workplaces offering flexible work arrangements and paternity leave, playgroup has a variety of parents and carers in most sessions.

    Edzocate values creating a warm, welcoming community where every belongs and leaves the playgroup gates feeling better than when they walked in.

  • The Edzocate Educational Playgroup is playgroup massively up-levelled.

    Think a gentle pre-kindergarten rhythm. Purposeful and playful activities using high quality resources that enhance your child’s learning and development.

    The program has been designed by the Edzocate founder, Zoe Wragg (MEd, BEd) an experienced teacher and mum of two.

  • Term fees:

    • One child: $290 incl GST

    • Two children: $435 incl GST

    • Three children: $580 incl GST

    Babies in carriers are free.

  • Our classes run for 90 minutes, which is longer than most children’s programs, ensuring great value even if an occasional week is missed.

    We don’t offer make-up lessons or refunds for missed sessions.

    • Spare change of clothes for your child (just in case). There is always water and sensory play and often times our little ones get wet and a tad dirty.

    We always have communal sunscreen available but best to bring yours if you prefer a specific brand.

  • Absolutely! We have many families attending with a range of allergies and anaphylaxis, and we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

    We ask that families do not bring peanuts, and we minimise risk by having a designated eating area (no wandering with food), ensuring hands are wiped before play, and keeping an EpiPen and antihistamines in our first aid kit.

  • We love meeting your family! To keep the playgroup environment calm and spacious, I kindly ask that only one family member attend with your child/ren. If you’d like to bring an additional guest for a special visit, please let me know in advance by emailing hello@edzocate.com.

    Some onsite parking is available. Street parking on McIlwraiith Ave or Bennetts Rd. Enter via the carpark and head straight to the gated playground where we start our sessions.

  • Yes! We offer trial packs of three sessions as we notice it takes three sessions to get into the playgroup rhythm.

    Term 2 Trial packs will go on sale from Monday April 13 with remaining spaces.

  • I know parenting, life, and illness can make things unpredictable. Please think carefully before making your purchase, as your booking is non-refundable.
