Hi, I’m Zoe!

Hi, I’m Zoe—founder of Edzocate, former Prep teacher, and mum of two. I bring together years of classroom experience and real-life parenting to help families and educators make learning playful, meaningful, and calm.

Why Edzocate?

When I became a parent to two under two, I searched for the “perfect” children’s activity that we would ALL enjoy and I fell short. When I couldn’t find it, I created it. That’s how the Edzocate Educational Playgroup was born.

My Background

Before Edzocate, I spent 10 years teaching in public schools in Brisbane, mostly in early years classrooms.

I hold:

✔ Master of Educational Leadership & Management
✔ Bachelor of Primary Education
✔ 10+ years of teaching experience
✔ Registered teacher

I’m passionate about empowering parents, carers, and educators to nurture the whole child through purposeful play and calm connection.

💪 Waking up before my kids to head to the gym.

🚤 Heading to Manly with my two kids (aged 3 & 5) for fish and chips and crab spotting

🌟 Looking for the small, sparkly moments everyday as life is so precious—I call these glitter moments.

Meet Renee

Renee is our lovely, bubbly Thursday Edzocate Educational Playgroup facilitator.

Hi, I’m Renee, mum of two little girls and a proud part of the Edzocate community.

I first attended Edzocate as a mum with my girls when they were 1 and 3, and now they are nearly 3 and 5. After trying many playgroups, I quickly realised there was something truly special about this space. It felt calm, meaningful and genuinely supportive, and a real cut above the rest.

Since becoming a mum, I have seen how isolating it can feel, especially when you do not have friends having babies at the same time. That is why creating connection is something I care so deeply about, because knowing you are not alone makes all the difference.

Alongside this, I am a home based travel agent with over 20 years of experience, working around my two girls and helping families create special memories of their own.

When I am not at Edzocate, you will usually find me at the beach, planning our next caravan getaway or enjoying time by the water with my family. We also love sensory and messy play at home, which has been a big part of our journey.

I am passionate about creating a welcoming space where families feel supported, connected and at ease.
