Educational Playgroup Terms and Conditions

    Welcome to Edzocate Educational Playgroup. We are delighted to have you and your child/ren join us. By enrolling, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

    1. Eligibility

    Children must be aged between 0–5 years and not enrolled in formal schooling to participate. no

    One parent/carer must attend and supervise their child/ren at all times during the session.

    2. Health, Allergies & Safety

    Families must not bring peanuts, tree nuts, or products containing nuts into the playgroup.

    All allergies, medical conditions, or additional support needs must be disclosed in writing prior to enrolment, and families must promptly update Edzocate of any changes.

    While Edzocate will take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee a nut-free or allergen-free environment. Parents/carers remain responsible for supervising their child’s food and managing allergy risks.

    Parents must not attend with children who are unwell and must follow the QLD Government’s “Time Out” policy for illness and recovery.

    3. Bookings, Membership & Payments

    Bookings are made via Acuity Scheduling.

    Playgroup operates on a membership basis. Each membership is a 10-week term commitment.

    Once enrolled, your family’s membership will automatically continue into the following term, and an invoice will be issued, unless written notice is provided.

    Families who do not wish to continue must notify Edzocate by email at zoe@edzocate.com no later than 4 weeks before the next term begins. no

    Membership fees must be paid in full prior to the start of each term.

    Missed sessions are forfeited — no make-ups, refunds, or credits are available for non-attendance.

    If Edzocate cancels a class or event, a make-up session will be offered. If this is not possible, a refund will be provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

    If enrolment is terminated by Edzocate due to inappropriate behaviour (see Section 7), all fees are non-refundable.

    4. Risks & Responsibilities

    Participation in playgroup involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, trips, falls, contact with other children, exposure to contagious illness, allergic reactions, choking risks, and use of art/craft materials.

    Parents/carers acknowledge that participation is voluntary and accept full responsibility for their child’s supervision and safety.

    Parents must ensure their child wears shoes, respects the venue and equipment, and follows all safety rules.

    5. Emergencies & Medical Care

    In case of emergency, I authorise Edzocate to administer first aid or CPR, secure emergency medical care/transport, and seek medical attention as necessary.

    Parents/carers agree to assume all costs of emergency medical care and transport.

    Edzocate does not administer daily medication unless agreed in writing.

    6. Photos, Videos & Privacy

    Families must not take photos or videos of other participants without express permission.
    I give consent for Edzocate to take photos and videos of me and my child for marketing and promotional purposes (including social media).

    I understand I may withdraw this consent at any time by notifying Edzocate in writing.

    For safety and security purposes, video and audio surveillance may operate within the venue. By attending, I acknowledge and consent to this surveillance. Surveillance footage is used only for safety, security, and compliance purposes, and is not used for marketing.

    7. Behaviour & Conduct

    Edzocate reserves the right to refuse or terminate enrolment if a parent/carer or child engages in behaviour that is disrespectful, inappropriate, offensive, threatening, or unsafe.

    Fees are non-refundable in the case of termination under this clause.

    8. Liability & Indemnity

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, I, my child, and our representatives release Edzocate from all claims, except where loss arises from Edzocate’s gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

    I indemnify Edzocate against all loss and damage (including property damage and legal costs) arising from my or my child’s participation.

    9. Definitions

    “Edzocate” means Edzocate (ABN 85142082512) and includes its owners, directors, employees, volunteers, and contractors.

    “Claims” includes all claims under statute, tort, contract, or negligence.

    “Loss and Damage” includes direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential loss or damage of any kind.

    “Representatives” includes parents, guardians, heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

    By enrolling, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
